Recently, we completed an exceptional man cave garden room project in Derby that showcased our expertise in both exterior construction and interior design. This comprehensive build transformed an unused area of our client's garden into the ultimate entertainment space.

Planning The Perfect Man Cave

Our client approached us with a clear vision for their outdoor space - they wanted a dedicated man cave that would serve as both a bar area and entertainment room. The design process involved careful consideration of the existing landscape, making sure the new addition would complement the property's aesthetic.

We began by surveying the proposed location, taking precise measurements and assessing ground conditions. This thorough planning phase allowed us to create a structure that would not only meet our client's functional requirements but also add significant value to their Derby property.

Construction Phase

The construction phase commenced with laying solid foundations, guaranteeing long-term stability for the flat-roofed structure. We selected high-quality materials throughout, with horizontal timber slats forming the exterior cladding. This modern approach created clean lines and a contemporary appearance that would stand the test of time.

We fitted central double doors, providing easy access whilst maintaining security. The flat roof design incorporated integrated spotlights, adding both functionality and visual appeal during the evening. Every external aspect of the building was carefully weatherproofed, making sure the structure would withstand the most demanding of weather conditions.

Interior Bar Space

Once the exterior was complete, our attention turned to creating the perfect interior environment. We installed luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring throughout, providing a durable and attractive flooring surface that would withstand regular use. The flooring choice offered both style and practicality, making maintenance straightforward for years to come.

The centrepiece of the interior was our custom-designed bar area. We built bespoke units that maximised storage whilst providing an impressive focal point. Integrated spotlights were carefully positioned to create ambient lighting, perfect for entertaining guests. Every aspect of the bar design was tailored to our client's specific requirements, resulting in a truly unique feature.

Entertainment & Seating Area

To complete the entertainment experience, we installed a wall-mounted television with all cables concealed within the wall cavity. This clean installation approach maintained the room's sleek appearance whilst providing modern functionality. Adjacent to the TV area, we fitted a professional dartboard, creating multiple entertainment options within the space.

The final touch was a custom-built, high-backed seating booth positioned in the corner. This bespoke seating solution accommodated multiple guests comfortably whilst maximising floor space.

Finishing Touches

Throughout the interior, we installed recessed ceiling spotlights to create a clean, uncluttered appearance whilst providing excellent illumination. The lighting design included multiple circuits, allowing our client to adjust the “mood lighting” as needed.
